Home From Cali Early…

Our 2 week California road-trip has ended a week early. The weather has forced the geese to fly home to Canada where it is not snowing.
I ended up tearing something in my ankle and it is the size of a baseball, and 3 peoples bikes had broken and where no longer ride-able. Until next time california….
p.s. keep an eye out for the “full length, half cali trip edit” soon

Woodward!! Cali Trip Days 5+6

On Tuesday, we left rainy Aptos, to one of the most important stops of the trip; Woodward West. Woodward is where we play the hardest, taking advantage of the Foam Pit and Resi-Ramp to learn new tricks for the season.

Turns out that we picked a wonderful time to come down to California…other than the fact that we have come during one of the biggest storm fronts California has seen in a couple decades. The Hanger at Woodward is where we have spent the past day and a half since it is indoors, but on the way back to the lodge, we were given a bit of hope for good weather!!

2010 Cali Trip- Days 1&2

So we have finally started our annual California trip! Our crew consists of myself, Jordie Lunn, Mark Matthews, Jon Fitzsimmons, Evan McCurrie, and Harookz.Packing was a bit hectic, seeing how I finished up an hour before we left, but we finally rolled out of Vancouver at 4:00pm, and it was not looking bad for once!

The weather forecast in Aptos is not looking very good, and its supposed to rain for the time we are here. We ended up getting a nice little session in at the Post Office Jumps, but that did’nt last long due to everyone being beat from a long 18 hour drive with no stops other than for gas and dinner/breakfast.

Harookz and I rolled down in his truck, and we did the whole drive with one driving shift each. So brutal! So we decided to get some of our favorite comfort food… at 10:00am. IN-N-OUT Burger! They were nice enough to even let us in 30mins early!

Now we are stoked to chill with our friends from Cali…heres a preview…

Stay tuned for more updates, and a full length edit of our whole trip when we get back!
